The Walasi-Yi Center - Blairsville GA

The Walasi-Yi Center is an outdoor outfitters facility and gift shop on the Appalachian Trail where the trail crosses US Highway 19/129 beside the center. The Walasi-Yi Center is also the only point along the Appalachian Trail where the trail goes through a man-made structure. The Walasi-Yi Center is located in the Blood Mountain Archaeological area, site of Cherokee and Creek Indian Battle before the arrival of the white man.  For you convenience, there is a Visitor Information Center located in the building.
