Through the middle of Alpine Helen Ga runs the famous Chattahoochee River, and during the summer months, the river is flooded with people taking a relaxing ride in innertubes.  With two tubing companies in Helen and a water park as well, there is not a lack of water activities for the whole family to enjoy.  Tubing season in Helen starts in late May and runs everyday until the first weekend in September, then runs on weekends to October.  Enjoy seeing Alpine Helen from the comfort of a lazy river ride through the downtown area of the city.

Both companies provide different lengths of trips with free shuttle service, the tube with or without the bottom, a US Coast Guard approved life preserver, and the relaxing ride down the Chattahoochee River.  Each company has a headquarters located at the north and south end of town, where one can purchase their tickets, tubes, and souvieners.  After your ride down the Chattahoochee River, browse the gift shop for t-shirts, hats, towels, bags, water shoes and more.  The headquarters also provides bathrooms, changing rooms and showers.

If tubing down the river is not your thing, check out the Helen Water Park, located at the southern end of town.  The water park is equipped with four different water slides, and a 1000 foot lazy river ride, and is employed with life guards to keep everything safe.  Tubing in Alpine Helen Ga is one of the biggest attractions for the summer and provides a cheap and easy way to entertain the whole family.
